Awesome episode! Didn't know Horst before. I have one book about Altbier, but not his, and one book about the history of breweries in Düsseldorf. Might give you some great additional insides. And to add a few things to what Horst said (don't know if you already know it): There are a few more very small breweries in Düsseldorf than the ones he mentioned. E.g. Gulasch Alt which only brews for their restaurant. I think you can't even buy it in the supermarket. And Frankenheim Alt produced a Frankenheim Hell a few years back. Wouldn't that technically make it a Frankenheim Kölsch?
