Amanda I had to watch again as yesterday my daughter and I went to the Scrapbook Expo in our area and Altenew was there and I got one of their flowers. So I was so happy you showed all the details.. Including the last little pieces and how you did it and it was so helpful to me. Your tutorial is fantastic for first time users of Altenew dies and stamps. It's kind of scary when you see all the over stamps. Your video made it so helpful so I wanted to say thank you thank you Miss Lovely. Take care pat

Joanne Donovan thank you, I do have other Altenew videos and I do try to show each step on those too. Plus I literally have an Altenew video coming up this Friday, and that I have the Peruvian Lily and one of the builder stencils too. I think it turned out great (so modest lol) and this one I also showed each step - and this flower has 7 layers! Hope to see you there 😘

That is so lovely thank you. I have had quite a few people say the same about showing all the layers and it has really given me some confidence in my choice to do that. I have been told before I make the videos too long but to me this was an eg of why mine are longer because I really want to show stuff like this. But then you do question yourself so to hear your lovely comment makes it all feel right and worth while, thank you xx

ahh bless you, its nice to hear cos quite often I get told off (lol) cos my videos are too long. I have tried to make them shorter but struggle because for me if you are not careful you miss out all the crafting part, so I think this is probably as short as they are ever going to get, so its nice to hear that you ladies are finding that helpful so thank you. xx

Well you know that was the first time I stamped that and that is the beauty of having the platform you just can't go wrong with these layering stamps (well except when I did go wrong lol - but as you saw that was me moving the paper so not sure that counts lol) Glad you enjoyed the card and thank you for commenting I do love to hear from you guys - my lovely lolliettes lol! hugs xx
@christineroberts41537 жыл бұрын
I have also got this set and have struggled to get the middle in the right place, the other layers are easy to do - just can't figure out where to line up the middle - if I do get it right I still won't know what I did! I'll keep trying though as it's such a lovely set.
@lollilulucrafts7 жыл бұрын
It is a lovely stamp and yes the middle is fiddly although there is a design tip on the packaging or if not got that any more on their website and that helps. But actually as long as you are roughly in the right place it doesnt seem to matter, If you notice I did one right and one not right and once I had die cut them I actually wasnt sure which it was and I expect once you stand back from it you wouldnt notice either so my advice for what its worth just aim for the centre and orientate it as best as you can but dont get too hung up on it if it isn't perfect cos in the end you really wont see it :-) hugs and happy new year x
@DeeDee-yz9ku7 жыл бұрын
Christine Roberts try starting with the 2nd or 3rd layer, ending with the 1st full layer. Mix it up, see if you can make sense of it that way.

LOL sorry that I got you spending but you will love it - links are on the blog post to the product BTW and I am always grateful if you ladies can use those links if you purchase as it gives me a little commission (no cost to yourselves) which all helps me continue doing my videos for you ;-) - Im glad you found the video helpful, I deliberately chose to show as much as I did as personally a lot of videos that you watch these days are so worried about not being too long that they miss out a lot of the crafting. Now I realise that is what a lot of viewers want, I am always being told off for talking too long, but for me I prefer to see some of the actual work in real time as you phrased it. So I have tried to find a middle ground and not go on too long but hopefully just enough to show some of the crafting. So thanks for the comment as it makes me feel Im getting it right xxx

What do you think of the Altanew mini cubes? I've just discovered Altanew and want all of the colors. I'm torn between the high price of the large pads and more affordable mini cube option. I could get all of the colors with the cubes, but only some of the large pads. Did your cubes last long before needing re-inking? Which would you suggest-please help!
@lollilulucrafts5 жыл бұрын
I love mini cubes, I use them for all the altenew, the distress inks etc and have had no issues. The ink so far is lasting well, no re-inking yet but I guess it depends on how much you use them. I purchased the tim holtz distress cube tins to store all mine in which keeps them all neat and also with the altenew usually in groups of 4, the tins have 3 rows of 4 so you can keep your colour groups together which is really helpful. So for me I would rather have the smaller cube and then re-ink at some point in the future (obviously that will be sooner than a large pad) but then I can afford to get more colours now. Also when you have more colours you are able to get more colours so I tend to find they dont run out as quick as you think because you are spreading your use of them over more pads. Whereas if you had the large pads you could only get a few so you are using those few all the time so then you get through those large pads just as quick. If that make sense lol! Check out this pic of mine on Instagram, top right of this little compilation instagram.com/p/BpjoT2VhOd-/ Hope that helps and always here if you have more questions, and happy to :-)
