To me it sounds like Myles did 3 harmonies above it.. PLUS Mark's.. They are so underrated and they deserve more than they get in our nowadays music business. To me Myles is the best vocalist we have on this planet - not because I'm just a silly fan, but because he works the most on his voice and his lyric writing ability. Amazing guy!

I get why they left it off though. Fortress had some very dark themes. Pain, brokenness, destruction, desperation, exile, apocalyptic references, just to name a few. Even the feelgood song that did make the album, All Ends Well, has a central theme of desolation. Outright, as great as it was, wouldn't have fit on an album all about darkness. Having said that, it would have been great if AB released it as an official bonus track and not just a promotional bonus track.

+Matthew Armour it definitely wouldn't because he's a full master of his voice. No other musician cares as much as he does. In my opinion they didn't play it yet because it's a b-side. And considering Myles warming up for 70 minutes, their shows tend to "only" last about 1,5 hours. Because all of their songs are so going through the registers (that's right, saying "singing high" is simply nonsense) and through time it's really fatiguing for the vocal folds. Even when you're singing with full technique.

I was really excited to hear the bonus tracks from Fortress. In the past, their bonus tracks have been some of my favorite songs. New Way to Live, Damage Done, Zero, Home, etc.... This is just my opinion. It is a great song, and no doubt about that. This is their jumpy and cheerful song in the album, while the entite album is heavy, minor, and classical sounding.

I was not complaining. In fact I do enjoy the fact that their bonus tracks, are just as awesome as the albums they belong to. I mean it's like getting dessert at the end of the Album. However some of the more obscure bonus tracks (New Way to Live for example.) should be more widely available.

I think it didn't because its too uplifting (doesn't fit the tone of the album), although all ends well is uplifting, it's has a slightly darker tone throughout the song and isn't as upbeat as this one. Despite the fact that I love almost EVERY alter bridge song in existence, i totally agree with having a catchier rock album next time round!! I only recently joined the AB bandwagon at this year's download festival but I'm soooo excited for the years to come!!

In this case, Outright was supposed to be a B-track on Blackbird, but they couldn't get it right. This must be a re-record where they think they had all the kinks worked out, but since it was written then it probably didn't have the same mindset going into Fortress as all of the other songs were, therefore it is a "bonus track."

As incredible as this is, I loved "All Ends Well" It's one of my favorites. The words and rhythm of the verses are what drew me in and hooked me. The chorus is nice, but it's Myles's delivery of the chorus that makes it really special. Like it's been recommended to you already, just keep listening to it!

I always find that with most albums I listen to, especially ones that become favourites of mine, the first couple of listens I think "this is cool...but." or I might even dislike it. Once I have listened a few times I'm like "I get it now" and get absolutely obsessed like you wouldn't believe. As far as this album goes I thought it was cool right from the get go, but initially I preferred ABIII. But now I love this album.
