It amazes me to see that at this point when I typed out this comment there are 147 people that place a thumbs down on this video. My question is are they real Alter Bridge fans or they just nitpickers that can not like anything in this world. I am 51 years old and I have everyone of their albums and I have not heard one song I disliked. It is a very rear thing to listen to an entire album and love every song I hear. My first concert I attended was a Queen concert. My family grew up on Queen in the 70's but I will say this, I didn't like all their songs. Sense Alter Bridge came to my ears I have loved every single song they have ever produced.

I think some folks just miss the simplicity of the first couple of albums...some of the AB stuff over the last few albums has just been too busy with too much technical work...seems like it's missing that positive, melodic, heavy tone. This song is not necessarily a good example of what I'm describing though...in fact, this is one of the few recent AB tracks that seems to carry a vintage AB feel. But bands change and there's nothing wrong with that...tastes and styles develop and evolve. They are a truly special group of musicians and I'll always stop what I'm doing to catch the latest Alter Bridge creation!

A lot of people wonder why AB is not more recognized. I think the answer lies in the band's main goal when they do their music. While many other rock and metal bands fill up the stadiums and have millions and millions of views on youtube with these "catch-all" record companies, I feel like AB is not pursuing that, they just make music for their fans and no one else. I feel like this whole record is a statement of that, and maybe that is what makes us appreciate AB even more. @@trfmusic902 His most nasal album was The Last Hero, but I agree, AB111 was his first nasal sounding album. ODR and Blackbird were just perfect, no annoying highs for the sake of hitting high notes. AB111 was tolerable, Fortress started to get worse with the forced nasal highs (still their best album imo), and then finally The Last Hero, which almost didn't have any lows at all! Don't get me wrong, Myles is a damn good singer, best in the bizz nowadays, but just because you know how to hit highs doesn't mean you constantly have to :/ His lows sound way better imo, e.g. the intro to "Slip to the Void".
@sahirkhan28355 жыл бұрын
You realise this is literally just because he’s singing much lower throughout? His voice hasn’t changed that dramatically, he’s just doubled down on the clean, technically perfect ‘bel canto’ lines for his high notes. Which he’s doing less of on this song since it’s mainly mid-range. If he sang the exact same song a few keys higher, it would sound exactly like the high singing on The Last Hero.

Love this song! Don't let the stress and burdens in your life overpower you. In the end, when you reflect back on life, you'll realize that the things you had anxiety or stress over weren't as important as they seemed. Live your best life!

According to Tremonti, he had this song as an idea for over 10 years. Could not have come at a more perfect time with such a great album.

How is this not top 10 already? This bridges 30 years of excellence. This is better than any Creed but the progression.... omg

This is easily the best song on the album, and I have to say that it fits in the same category as Blackbird and WDTTW... this song has everything. INCREDIBLE.

The solo at the end reminds me of a Randy Rhoads, Over the Mountain, nasty solo! Alter Bridge is such an underrated band. Cannot wait to hear the whole album.

I found out mere hours ago that my tightest bestest childhood friend was found dead. I've managed to keep it together until the outro of this fantastic song. Can't see the screen any more. Well done AB!
