The problem for Armenia is that there is almost no way for the West to get to it. On two sides it has its bitter enemy Azerbaijan, and the Azeri's close ally Turkey. To the south is Iran, and to the north is Georgia, both of which are under Russian influence. Practically speaking, how can Armenia have much to do with the West?

Pashinyan has clearly stated that there will be no relationship with Belarus as long as Lukashenko remains president. Yet, asking questions like ‘Why aren’t you coming to Minsk? Is it far?’ shows a lack of self-respect. If someone told me they didn’t want a relationship with me, I’d respect that boundary and move on, not beg for a meeting. Continuing to push despite a clear rejection is undignified. Moreover, the way he speaks is highly disrespectful-one day, such arrogance will surely have consequences.

There is a big interest where West could help Armenia. But it is a very difficult one, because Armenia is surrounded by West enemies. Well Turkey is not so much an enemy but they play their political games which is understanding. But before anything can be done, a peace agreement must be done between Armenia and Azerbaijan. That is the key here, if that was to happen, West can send their military and build a base in Armenia and Azerbaijan. The next thing is to start building in Armenia, create jobs and education, IT computers and so on. Kind of like Israel, small country but become best at technology. Get finances, and have everyone must serve the army for at least 2 years. Invest into military technology something like Israel and protect Armenia at all cost. This is the only way, if not, than Armenia is just sitting there and doing nothing.

Because Russia abandoned Armenia during Azerbaijani incursion into Nagorno-Karabakh - where Russia is a “security guarantor”, just as it was in Ukraine or Syria. Russia is losing its power.
