Dear Kate, I was moved by your lovely message. Truly. While I am a fan of craft, I do think the pages I make are different than many I see. I am fortunate enough to be able to use originals and this makes a difference, too. I mean, you have to work with what you got and I preach that message a lot, but when what you have are 18th century engravings, they really make a layout, and book, pop. Thank you, again.

Love your explanations of why or how you placed pieces on your pages. Do you keep your books and therefore use originals? Thinking of the boot sale engraving for example.

Thank you, Michele. I use originals in my altered books (my "fine art") and printed copies in my art journals (the fun stuff). Some people hold onto the originals and only use copies but I find that the more I use, the more stuff comes my way. A philosophy for art and life - use it all up! 😁Occasionally I sell a book but they are pricey because of the fact I use vintage originals and the time that these pages take but otherwise, I keep them and enjoy looking at them over and over.
