The only thing I can think of that would have you ask was that yesterday I grouped the people that I have messaged together in a group. Does that mean I started a new group? Great stuff love my home made sprays will definitely be using them n this project. I get so scared when you paint things black, oh no you are ruining that great background. Then out comes the sandpaper and voila amazing effect. Love it

carolyn, i am working with the 'back pages'.....then the 'inner pages'....i tear the 'inner pages' to create the pockets and staple them together....i am showing you with my hands right now...lol...but you cannot see me! so there are pages on the left....pages on the right....inner pages that i tore....i stapled them together on the left and then on the right....this creates the pockets...i do paint them all as one tho....long answer...i hope it helps....let me know if you are still confused...we can chat and walk through the video together....it is an easy process.....go create, go play, go have fun!!!

Hi there. On the subjct of texture paste: I made some a few days ago. Only had 1/4 cup of baby talc. Popped out for more and noticed it said 100% corn starch, so went home and used a cup of corn starch. It works just dandy, and is an even cheaper. Thought y'all might like to know

oh bitzbitz....that is an easy one! for my very first show? i showed up at a gallery...pieces in tow and i said....'interested?' they said yes....and it has been like that ever since! submit photos to 'call for artists'...if you google that? you will find lots of galleries looking for art! so...breathe...research....and submit! it is really that easy! so....go create, go play, go have fun!

hey there sue ellen...i send my books to art magazines and yes...they get published...well...pages of them get published in the art magazines...oh...i better put a link to the black masking tape on this video...thank you for the reminder...i get it through amazon...it is stronger than regular masking tape and it sticks better than washi tape....my experience anyway....i will do that right now!!!! see you on the table...

Yes, I saw your wonderful altered book in Stampington's Art Journalling. What a treat!! Also, I know I keep saying this, but I am so grateful for your generosity, that you post your videos for free rather than charging for lessons as many other artists do. I've been reading your blog, and I think your decision to have a PayPal account so that those who wanted to pay could, and those who had limited finances could still see your amazing work and not be left out. It's kind of amazing to me that anyone would be offended because of your PayPal link or your other means of making a living. It takes all kinds, as my mother used to say.

thank you for asking linda...i have glued the pockets in the past and the glue does not always hold very well with the stress of the pop-up...so...i decided to give it more strength by stapling it...and ta da....much stronger! and then covering the staples with another page strengthened the whole piece even more! i hope that answers your questions...

I don't know if it really makes a difference or not but I was told to shake the sprays round and round instead of up and down and they don't get clogged up as easily and to dab the spray tip after spraying to keep it clear. who knows if it really does anything or not but I have had better luck with them using those methods. It could just be in my mind.

Im in a terrible quandary...i want to make several altered books, and I found DOZENS at a library book sale. They only asked for a donation and I gave generously but the books were only about 50 cents each! My trouble? Altering those beauties, those pieces of history! How do i let go of my anxiety at "defacing" a book from the 30s and 40s...my favorite eras!??
