I still think the Best Throw format is better. Given how hectic the banter is, it's really hard for anyone to get focused, and I think what we end up with is no idea what a good score looks like on the course. Another option to try is individual Cali scoring. A +6 score is roughly 984 rated, per the results given on the PDGA website, and is tied for 64th place in round 1 for example.
