South Korea didn't help them, which lead to China going straight for Japan instead of having to go through South Korea first. This made China destroy lots of Japanese cities that they captured, which is why Japan got mad at South Korea for not being a distraction.

The first war was a little odd. Ethiopia, despite their defense, wouldn't win against all of them. Not only are their airforce very undeveloped, that it'd be probably mauled by Egypt or Arabia, their ground troops aren't exactly the best either. They'd be bombed to oblivion, and any fortification would be rendered null. This is a combined army of millions and millions. Ethiopia cannot afford that. Ethiopia cannot win that, despite how people would want that. Ethiopia would've probably lost.

Indeed. Although the idea for that war was made before the rules came out that states that “Do remember that the alliance of the defender (blue) will join the war no matter what…” And “…it must be realistic who wins.” So by technicality I had to make Ethiopia win.
