I was wondering why I didn't see Pūrāndokht and Āzarmīdokht, and then read the description and saw it was an ALT-history video! Edit: To be honest, I should have realized it was ALT-history when you stated that the Sassanians crossed into the Balkans. If they actually managed to get their siege equipment across Constantinople would have fallen as in our history the Avars couldn't siege it because they lack the equipment and experience that the Sassanians had.

They were strong but definitely not stronger than the Romans. The Romans defeated them in the end. The Sassanians under Khosrow were so successful at first in large part because the Roman Empire at the time was divided and under its worst emperor in history. But after Heraclius took over, the Romans were able to beat the Sassanids back.
