Alternative to maize silage.sorghum and millet yield higher on dry fields

Millet and Sorghum fodder is said to contain high nutrition value.how do we farmers get the maximum benefit out of this crop? how different is it from the maize we grow for fodder? I spent sometime with Wambo the Agronomist,a very passionate farmer who has found success in growing this fodder crop for her dairy cows.

Such a wonderfully knowledgeable expert that is certainly a powerful resource to her community 🏆 I wonder if using permaculture and organic practices might help reduce cost and increase profits: 1:Simultaneously eliminate weeds and artificial nitrogen and others fertilizers by using: A: Natural nitrogen fixing cover crops such as clover to then use as “green manure” B: Companion plants such as peanut ground cover to eliminate weeds and continuously provide soil nitrogen C: Create onsite compost to provide broad spectrum natural fertilizer to return to the soil eliminating the need to purchase artificial fertilizers, D: Using crop rotation E: natural pest and disease control methods

This one gives you multiple cuts.up to 3 cuts.for maize you plant after every cut. It also does better in dry areas than maize.
