A week of scorching temperatures.......

It's been so hot in England that I didn't go far from my beach, house and pond, so have had time to do you surprise vlog! Lots of the latter, plus I did an accidental capsule wardrobe for travelling light to a hot spot...... and I show you my skincare routine. Not bad for someone who wasn't going to do a vlog this week! Jemma James When I visited UK for a holiday over 30 years ago all I saw was pebbled beaches and in every beach I have seen in youtube videos are the same. You are lucky to have sandy beaches where you live. 🙂

Jack is such a love. So glad he’s swimming again. When they get older it does take them a bit longer to forge ahead. "Well, who hasn't got mid-rif bulge?" I cracked up at that, so true. I like your dresses, especially the yellow checkered one, you have such a great sense of style. And because you have a great sense of style, you have also found the perfect two piece bathing suit for you! The outro shots are lovely. In terms of exercise, I bring my small weights (4lbs) in the pool and I do a lot of ballet jumps, running in place and stretches, it makes it so much easier on the knees when you're in the water, I use the weights on alternate days and just swim on the in between days. I love seeing Jack with you at the beach, he looks so happy. Great vlog, looking forward to the next! Christine.

You look wonderful. If you got it, then flaunt it; is what they say. Love the dresses, to go over your 2 piece bathing suit, or even over a slip if not swimming. Makes popping out for lunch or shopping look easy and cool. You could probably add (if you sew), or have added by your dry cleaner shop, a snap added to the dress that has the small gap at the waist line. An easy fix on any clothes, that have that problem. Good advice about staying out of the sun during the hottest hours of the day. Between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm is what we do here in Houston, Texas.

@@AlternativeAgeing My parents used to own a healthfood shop in the late 70's, early 80's. Germane Greer was a regular customer (fun fact). We did blind test tasting when we stocked 12 brands - evian, volvic etc...volvic always came our tops and I've stayed with brand ever since. Difficult to explain but just tastes so clean and fresh . I fill my fridge water dispenser with it and have it on tap - literally! I don't like the plastics but have a water bottle I carry around which I refill with volvic.

Suzi, you’re right! I live in Sydney, Australia and I have visited the UK in summer and 27 degrees seems far hotter where you are than here! I don’t understand it either. The only thing I can put it down to is most places here are air conditioned, sometimes overly so whereas the London hotels, shops and buses didn’t seem to have adequate cooling systems. Stay cool 😎

Hi Jayne, I am South African and I know what you mean about the heat. But I find we in the southern hemisphere are awful at doing winter and I am constantly cold!

@@erikalouwrens3992 agreed! We shiver through relatively mild winters because of inadequate heating and houses that aren’t designed for the cold. We complain if the temperature dips only slightly and we say it’s freezing! 😂
