I love seeing young people like yourselves that are mature and doing so much! You've done quite well here. As an aircraft mechanic who has worked on Boeing and Airbus aircraft I have a little appreciation of the energy, difficulty and time that it takes to disassemble, fabricate and assemble so "hats off to you," you've done well! For future reference use RTV silicone as a sealant. It does wonders and is easily obtainable at most hardware stores just make sure you surface prep well before application, like the way you did for paint! You can use it for faying surface, fillet and edge sealing. You can Google those terms. There are good "how to" videos on KZbin. Happy Trails!

The deadbolt on the back door is genius. I've seen a lot of variations when it comes to trying to lock this area, but this one takes the award for easiest implementation of something off the shelf, it's sturdy, isn't ugly (or dangerous and pointy), and just makes sense.

Can y’all come by and pick me up? I just love your skoolie. It looks so homie. I like the accent with the plants, the accommodations for the animals, especially under the bed. I like the brick accent, the kitchen, and the color of the bus. I watched several bus conversion videos and yours by far is the best, especially for the small amount of money you invested. You guys should feel proud of yourself being so young to achieve a great accomplishment.

nice build, but for your own health and safety, get rid of the unvented heater. Not because of carbon monoxide, but because of the high moisture build up they produce. Long story short, you are prone to pneumonia from it. As a propane tech, I try to keep people who use my product, as safe as possible.

The best part about this tour is how laissez faire the couple is. This is the key to happiness, but also, I’d worry if I was their parents. Like, get inspections done to make sure you are safe kids. My fave space is the bathroom. She was putting down their tiling skills. I was amazed at the beautiful styling choices they made. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

You have created a gorgeous home on wheels. The level of craftsmanship is top notch and the woodwork your Dad did is amazing. To prevent shoes piling up on the rug next to the door get a bin with a lid or build a wooden box with a lid (that you seal with waterproof finish to protect the wood )and add handles to make it easier to pick up and store whenever you hit the road and to keep the creepy crawlies out and decorate the top to remind people to put their shoes in it before entering the bus. You could get creative with wood burning a design, carve one or paint something as there are endless possibilities to make it reflect your personalities and esthetic. Awesome job and it’s definitely in my top 5 of favorite conversions/tiny homes. 🤗❤️❤️👍🏻🚌 since you know how to sew it might be a good idea to make some magnetic screens to put over the windows whenever you open them. Have you ever thought of putting some extra strong Velcro on the items on the shelf in the kitchen to prevent them from moving when you are on the road. For the pantry build a unit that has shelves and can be pulled out with drawer slides and/or have wheels at the bottom which you might not need if you use slides that hold higher weight limits. I have seen this in many schoolies and conversions both van and truck and RV. Last thing to consider is adding some metal mesh (with a smaller design openings in the mesh) panels to the underside of the brackets that hold your water tanks under the bus to prevent road debris from hitting and damaging your tanks. How are you going to winterize the tanks and water lines if you are traveling in the colder months and areas of the country that get much colder? The mini split would definitely make it more livable year round because it heats and cools and with the location in the back it would transfer to the front better with only a small fan you could attach in the hallway. Everyone learns more about their schoolie and various types of homes once they actually live in it for a while. Like I said you have created a gorgeous home and looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Wishing you the best and stay safe and healthy out there on your journey. ❤️👍🏻🙏🏻🤗❤️
