Because I got oil on the bottom of my alternator and wondering if that's where the leak is coming from and getting all over the alternator

I have one havent fixed yet because it dripping just a little but in a couple month it probably will be gushing...BMW charges like $3000 indy $1000 a lot of labor for the novice

If its the V8, yes or upper timing belt cover gasket..either way do both.
