Great job on showing how the adjustment bolt and block needs to be. I broke the adjustment bolt the first time. $18.99 at Auto Zone for a new bolt, block and lower alternator bolt. Comes in a kit.

Somehow my 2003 Lexus still has the original alternator. The original battery was replaced in 2018. Thing's a beast

That 14 mm bolt was driving me crazy, I was replacing the serpentine belt but since doing the job, it kept squeaking, so I pulled the bolt off and tapped the alternator down to feel the pulley and now for the life of me, I cannot get that 14mm to screw all the way in. It's as if it's stripped but it looks like I have to tap that built in screw back in so the 14mm screw can latch on to it.

Man… the lower mounting bracket, having it line up with the slot and having the bolt flush I need to try that. spent hours trying to get the damn lower bolt in but couldn’t get it too line up…

Great video. Somehow I missed the part about tapping in the slide-nut when installation a used alternator. That would have been so much easier than all the "finessing" had to do.
