this song is like terezi. at first it seems intimidating and scary, malicious even, and while it has its moments of balance, it's still very unnerving for a while. then something happens, and you see an entirely different side of it, and suddenly it can be almost relaxed, and it no longer scares you. and when you go back to those initial moments with it, now knowing how it really turns out, you realise that it was never really bad or intimidating in the first place.

@@TiredEyePilot It's less of a "switching" of senses and more of a "matching" of senses. For example, when you hear a certain word being said, you may involuntarily match it with a color. I'm not sure if my case is synesthesia (and frankly, I don't really care), but as an example, whenever I hear or think of the word "Saturday," I involuntarily think of a very dark blue sort of color. I also pair colors with tastes (when I taste, I think of a color), but I'm pretty sure everyone does that. I don't personally know anyone who involuntarily thinks of a taste when they see a color, though. The key word here is "involuntarily"; if you _can_ match the senses, it's not necessarily synesthesia. That being said - if we're going with this theory - Terezi has an extreme and impossible case of synesthesia, in which she has the literal ability to taste and smell colors using her taste and olfactory receptors. No one in the real world can actually do this, as I'm sure we all know, because the aforementioned receptors don't interpret a difference between actual colors.

I would really like to point out that when the key changes, it changes from A Minor to C major. A minor has the same exact notes as C Major and vise-versa. It really reflects on her character... *Toby Fox never ceases to surprise me.*

To be honest, the music in Homestuck is what sold me, most especially the violin refrain of Aggreive, Rose's song, and Moonsetter. I am playing both of those on my violin. This music makes me feel an immense nostalgia for everything. The music is so well composed, and it creates so many more reasons to love this silly little comic.

Even though I kind of hate Terezi after act 5, this is one of the most well thought-out themes in the series. The intro sounds like judgement and sinister calculation, but changes to show genuine warmth at the sign change. I first heard it about 10 years ago and thought the introduction was the coolest part. After reading Homestuck and playing the flash games, I felt the relief and optimism which show at 1:16 were calmingly heartfelt. The piano keys also show some sadness and kindness. But by literally ending on a high note it feels like a happy ending or someone smiling at you. Toby Fox is a musical genius.

Every time i hear this song, i imagine TZ dancing. At the start of the ticking she gets out her cane and imitates a clock. After that she does some balerina spins, when the flute (or what i assume is flute) she just goes full on ballerina.
