Thanks. The TJ is more mellow to my ears. I have a 232,xxx Mk VI and it is very bright and challenging to keep in tune at the top (probably me making it so sharp!).

The TJ definitely sounds brighter, much nicer sound, which really surprised me as I'm a big Selmer fan .

@@SAXOSingaporesg yeah the TJ RAW has that character in the tone that the Mk VI doesn’t quite have. Like a few more layers to the tone.

Sounds very good. I wonder how it compares with Yamaha 62 in terms of pitch accuracy and ease of blowing and handling.

Nice sound on both saxophone. What mouthpiece are you using?

What's the mpc used for this comparison?

Hey Julian, that was a JodyJazz HR* 7 alto mouthpiece :)

I like the demo but it would have been better with a nicer mic setup - why use a clip on mic? I think it influences the sound too much.

In my opinion the intonation of MK I is better.

Mark VI: full, warm: beautiful. TJ: thin, small, bright, only good for smooth jazz and nothing else.

I havent even heard the video yet and I already know Mark VI wins🤣 All modern horns are based on Selmer saxophones in the first place....

The only sax to compare to a vi is a Grassi. All these modern sax always are weak
