Alton is a national treasure, at every level. He is equal parts intelligent, fun, hysterical, snarky, absurd, and innovative, all while being a great host/sidekick/guest. I purchased all of the Good Eats when they were originally available on VHS because I loved how informative and entertaining he was/is: yeah, I am older.

I grew up watching Alton with my mom and never knew he was a film producer...let alone making a music video for one of our favorite bands! She's been gone since 2017 but she would have her jaw on the floor..same as me! Alton is such a talented, funny, genuine guy! I used to have my entire DVR back in the day MAXED out with Good Eats. It was like 230 something episodes. I would just watch them over and over, sometimes skipping around and sometimes I'd just go down the list. I watched so much Good Eats I literally used to have dreams of hanging out with Alton and could quote episodes word for word. I even wrote a report on him for my English class. 😆

Alton was the first chef to make cooking interesting for me. I loved how he'd explain how things work scientifically and it really opened my eyes. The production values of good eats were perfect, too. Also, she's not kidding when she says Koreans can drink. When Koreans party the PARTY. I lived in Seoul for a year and they will drink like it's going out of style.

ive said it in my other comment sections but Alton Brown came to me on TV in 2002. I never cooked for myself outside Mac and cheese and frozen pizza. however his show changed that, and changed me and changed a lot about me. he made me interested in science, cooking, what goes into cooking, everything food. then music. between him and Michael Connelly's Bosch series I discovered the beauty that is Jazz. Im not exaggerating when I say Alton Brown changed my life for the better and I miss all the time that his show doesn't air all the time. that ill most likely never get any new content from him hurts my heart. It's selfish of me Mr Brown to want more as I know you've given so much. You will be missed. your intelligence, your humor. everything. Mr Brown, Thank you.

I really enjoyed this. I haven't seen him since he did Quarantine Quitchen during the Covid mess. His lovely wife Elizabeth was an angel to put up with his quirky temperament. I have followed him for years ever since that story in Atlanta Magazine.
