Many thanks for posting this, some excellent layouts there. Particularly noticed the realistic driving of your 'best in show' layout - and indeed on the 16mm live steam one - not easy to do... Best regards. Jeremy L.

Cracking layouts beautifully presented. I wonder how many noticed the youngsters in front of Vale of Oxbury @3.10 to 3.19. Do listen carefully to the conversation lol....I thought it was carrying coal....! For me best in show is Vale of Oxbury but being an N Gauge person I would be, although I do agree that Harlyn Pier is a superb layout. Cheers, Bob

I'm not a fan of commercial 'N' gauge because the clunky track makes the trains look like they're running on RSJs, but I have to say that the Vale of Oxbury really makes use of the opportunity to set the railway in a landscape - plus the backdrop is integrated into the 3D world fabulously well giving a real feeling of space.

Ouch on the commercial track comment :-) Peco Code 55 finescale professionally laid can be quite excellent as per my old layout Moorcock Junction (built by Andy Calvert) and my current layout Armathwaite (trackwork by me!!) It's all a matter of correct ballasting, rail weathering, etc....And of course there is now code 40 available. Bob
