Have you tried the gtx hiker on any more rainy days? Thinking of getting them for commute/going to football when it is raining but not worth it if they are going to let the water through. Walked a mile in heavy rain in the LP all weather last week and feet were soaked…

@@shanefish71 I've worn them in very wet conditions, and they kept my feet nice and dry! As long as no water comes in from the top (which happens quickly with the low version), you'll keep dry feet.

My Timp 5 are still holding up after one month, so better than the 4😂, so far they are amazing, best Altra shoe for running, again, in spite of some issues, I am waiting for another color in the GTX, I.hate black...and blue, so anything else would be cool. And if they keep holding up, I will definitely buy another pair.

I'm lacing up my Outroad 2's as I watch your video, I wish Altra would apply the same gusset to all their road shoes as well. I like the Timp Hiker but it really holds on to sweat.🦋👣

In the market for an Altra trail runner. I have an older version of the Lone Peak but really wanted to find a trail shoe that fits and feels/responds more like the Torin. In your opinion, would that fit be closer to the Timp or Mont Blanc?

@@trickywood I'd say Timp if you're looking for something like the Torin. MB would be an excellent alternative though.

Got rid of mine quite quickly. The comfort is nowhere near the previous version, mainly because of the badly designed toe bumper-it flexes _into_ my big toe joint. Additionally, it feels heavier on the foot (maybe that's the result of increased stiffness). A major disappointment. Got another pair of Timp 4s instead.

they call it gore tex on the low cus the oly gets the invisfit, but on the high it gets the fancy GTX strip on back

front sew is terrible. i don't know why most models do it. lone peak is clearly way better even tho the overlay still kinda soft limits it. i don't know why my right feet start to swell or grow fatter overall or in the front half after spraying the ankle last summer both on bondi 2 s and mafate 3 from 11 yrs ago....
