Anyone looking to remove old decals/stickers if nothing else get a heat gun and just apply some heat to it. It softens the vinyl and adhesive making it a little easier to remove.

When trying to make a template for the front, lay the cardboard on top of the gunnel and trace it, it may be a bit wider but it's the Exact shape. if the front piece of plywood is cut tight there is no need for framing? The boat tapers smaller?

Great job on the boat and trailer guys! Attention to detail and not rushing anything pays off big time. Enjoy!
Why is almost everyone painting their boats "Battleship or Primer Grey" it's so plain. Cover the trailer with a tarp and flip the boat over to lay on top. Much easier to work on.

I didn't know you had to put harder in that tractor paint from tsc. Guess that's why mine is really easy to scratch and it took forever to dry. I painted my boat trailer black with that paint and ended painting over it with the rust - oleum truck bed coating paint. You got another subscriber and y'all did great work on the boat and trailer restore \ build. I hope mine turns out that good after I have the money to put it all back together. Im doing my first boat restore \ build on a 1966 Mirror craft 14ft vhull.

Great build. Good attention to detail. Always concerned when foam is taken out of a boat and not added somewhere else. Family of four died in California a few years back when gale force winds swamped their boat in June Lake, a high altitude trout lake in California. Attributed to foam removal. Boat sunk in middle of lake in 45 degree water.
@greggmeyer5836 Жыл бұрын
They should have been off the lake long before any gale force winds. People need to be observant of the weather when in a boat on a lake or river of any size. They were not too smart.
