Next in our Alumni Online Talks series, we welcome GCU honorary graduate, Dr Andy Scott, Sculptor of the iconic Kelpies in Scotland.
Alumni Online Talks is a series of talks where industry experts share their career journey, lessons learned, and words of advice with students, graduates and friends of GCU.
Andy is a Scottish figurative sculptor, working on a large-scale in galvanised and stainless steel and cast bronze. His works often portray animal and human subject matter, with a recurring focus on the horse as a mainstay of his portfolio.
Andy is well known for the iconic Kelpies in Scotland, which are sited at the Forth & Clyde Canal in Falkirk. The two steel horses heads are the largest equine sculptures in the world, inspired by the cultural heritage of the Clydesdale horses, draught horses, which worked hard to help people along the canals and on the land.
Join us to hear about Andy’s exceptional career journey as well as sharing insights to some of his past and future projects.
