I go see them every year at Christmas time. There is nothing else like it in the world. Simply perfect and amazing show. Every year it gets better and better.

I saw them live for the first time in February this year here in Atlanta and it changed my life. As someone who loves and enjoys dance I was amazed with their unbelievable technique, artistry and power of all of the dancing. I hope to see them again next year and the other productions I didn't see

I love it how the audience was trying to do their easy props cheering in the beginning and then was just shushed by the presence of the dancers and the display of their artistry.

See, you don't need fancy tricks and big leaps to have an amazing piece. Sometimes it's the simplest nuance, or the tiniest tilt of the wrist that makes a piece beautiful. Now this is real dance. :)

@DizzyDancingStar I actually looked it up and answered my own question! If you search for "A Tribute to ALVIN AILEY(Episodes Part.1)" on youtube you can see the whole thing. I believe that you can find "Vespers" and "Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven" as well a few others I was in passing. I just love youtube!

@ninamandic10 Lets see u try. It takes strength not to mention blood sweat and tears to reach the level of Alvin Ailey and u r only saying that because ur jealous. the ballet critic lol
@MarqueeTee12 жыл бұрын
yes, grueling, I can speak fro experience having trained at Ailey school (horton technique). it looks easy and simple but trust me it's not!

this is Ulysses Doves' choreography and not Alvin Ailey's although made for AADT. The original casting is way much better, less balletic and more pationate about the work.
