There's a video from the Chieftan addressing this. Apparently, it did have a differential, but it just didn't work very well. A 6x6 truck with the wheels evenly spaced is very unusual, and they never came up with a winning, mechanical differential for the thing. One of the field expedient fixes was to drive over railroad ties to lift each pair of wheels clear of the ground so they could unwind.

Did you get permission somehow to use that track? I remember the controversy from 2005 or so when an American whistlerblower published the music that the CIA was using at their torture sites to break suspected Al Qaeda operatives. The CIA was really protective of their copyright back then and i remember their lawyers coming down hard on local police departments using this track for crowd control. Anyway, ballsy choice for background noise.

I did get permission, the group are personal friends of ours. I put a little bit of the sound in for people who wanted to hear it, but in general, it was just screaming constantly and it was windy. So the audio quality while out on the water was really awful. Thanks for the view though, its some machine.
