The Silas Rams fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Lincoln Abes on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to the Abes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (66), Silas still had to take the loss.
Silas lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Albert Kopec, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyson Parker, who scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals.
Silas now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Silas will take on Mount Tahoma at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Tahoma has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matches. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
