Always be ready for a good follow-up shot

I was sitting watching a fox when it had randomly ran away, then this guy came running in following the last fox scent. This shot I was freehand crouched down using my arm and knee to lean on. The shot was aimed at the heart, but sometimes the bullet will stray, or you might clip the fence
The shot ended up hitting this dog fox at the top of his back leg. But there is no need to panic. Just be ready to follow it up
