Cool topic and nice video. I do think there is some advantages to obstructing the standard silhouette. For example with the big backpack (which albeit is easier to see) but is harder to find the head hitbox in some situations - especially from behind or in shadows. Thanks man!

in the adf they teach us the 5s and m this stands for sound, silloette, surface, spacing, shape, and movement. not all applicable to tarkov but i always keep in mind when trying to conceal myself

Nice video man ! I'm trying to convince friends to camouflage more, especially while sniping. On every wooden map i don't even take a helmet anymore, the Chimera boonie hat is incredible at hiding your silhouette, combine that with good clothing, small backpack and people will walk right pas you without noticing.

as a snper lying in wait i usually just take a small hip bag with me for food and water if you kill one big chad in the open and just wait all raid there will be plenty of more guys trying to loot him and you can all pick em off then with the raid nearly ending you just go and pick up your prizes

Great video man, especially about the backpacks. My only suggestion is to make a part 2 showing some of the BEAR clothing. Some of those choices look *amazing* for wooded environments. Especially when paired with a Chimera and shemagh. Beautiful thing about the Chimera is that you can ditch it for insurance on your way out, and if you end up dying basically nobody is gonna take it

Always wear a balaclava and never have rolled up sleeves. Dont wear any bright blue or tan and in general, you will not be spotted

My favorite bag to run on primarily outside maps like woods and shoreline (depending on what youre doing) is the berkut. It doesnt have a massive silhouette and color/camo wise its good for the super green maps too. Pair it with green/camo based clothes and gear and youd be surprised how many people it tricks. It helped so much when doing shooterborn on those maps and I even killed a couple of juicers including a level 57 fully kitted who walked within like 40-50 meters of me without seeing me.

To your backpack point....there are times when I will bring a couch backpack if I'm sniping because it will break the silhouette of your head and shoulders. Posting up in rocks or somewhere dark to hide the details of the bag, will actually be more stealthy than no backpack at all.

As a professional rat, camouflage helps me win fights that I wouldn't have normally, it is so effective because its a human aspect, there's (basically) nothing in game you can do to change if you see someone or not. Camouflage is top tier, its basically free cheats!

i play BEAR only because they have that one top with the perfect green shade to blend in with the greenery and if u like to go undercover scav, there are nicer options as well compared to USEC.

M81 woodland and the tiger camo are freaking gorgeous and effective. I love doing long range shooting too so camoing up is fun Also the woodland LBT 3 day backpack you can get for a cordura is absolutely goated, you can get it for like 20k its decent space and matches woodland camo perfectly

Just out of curiosity why isn't the Day pack on the list of backpacks? Got kinda suprised when i saw the list thought for sure it would be on there. Weighs 0.570kg, -1%movement, -1% Turn speed, -2% Ergo and its 20 squares of space. Its low profile and It is in digital black.

BEAR PMC boreas and recon are very good for camouflage in woods or areas with good foliage i use chimera and momex and for the rig the cpcmod1 is smaller and doesnt stick out or the bagariy

Also BEAR mgs jacket and oldschool pants is by far best scav disguise (gearwise: module 3m, idea vest, kedr and some facecover) Fr, try it on factory. Its like playing hitman or amogus 😂 Player-scavs never shoots me first. Few times I wiped the whole playerscav lobby.

@@TickleMePinkGaming Might be referring to IRL UCP? Doesn't apply as much in tarkov as the shirt is darker/dirtier than usual and you are only wearing the top. It definitely wouldn't work if your PMC was in UCP head to toe (kinda like the base USEC clothing) but if the rest of your kit is done smart, as you have done, it definitely breaks up your silhouette. Matching flat colours with camouflage just makes it that much harder to quickly spot a human shaped object, even if that camo isn't the best suited to the environment. Side note, i *REALLYYYYY* want BSG to add helmet covers and helmet scrim (scrim being the term for netting with foliage on the helmet). A helmet is a very distinct shape, and even if the rest of your kit is on point, seeing the distinct look of most helmets can be a dead give away.

Camp the mountains and extracts, be very patient, have a map with PMC spawns up and ready so you know where the early raid threats will be. Also watch a lighthouse map guide on YT or go in on offline with no scavs. The shore side of the map is the most dangerous in terms of getting sniped.

Outside very specific circumstances, color of clothing doesn't help conceal you much in Tarkov due to how characters render in the game. Even with the snow event, virtually every clothing, including the lightest colored options render in the same basic tint against the environment. It's far more important that you pay attention to your silhouette. Bushes, rocks and trash are going to have a greater influence in hiding you from vision than color.
