I don't believe in Ghosts, but I have 3 events I can't explain otherwise. One time I was getting ready for school, leaned over to put my sock on and hear someone loudly whisper "ASHLEY" (my name) into my ear. I was late, no one else was home. Another time my dad said he went out, an hour later I hear "Ashley!" come from the loungeroom in a sort of familiar voice, not quite my dad though. No one was there. Went back to my room to hear it again. Again, no one was there and my dad didn't get home until a couple hours later. The final time, I was skeptical of a ghost being in my house. My dad came into my room, talked and then left the door open. I could hear my dad sit down in his chair with a noticeable squeak. I jokingly said "Ghost, shut the door." Just as I was about to get up to go and shut it, it slams shut. All the windows were shut as it was Winter. So I don't believe in Ghosts, but that had to have been a ghosts because all of those events happened in the same house that I only lived at for 2 years.

On the topic of ghosts, i have worked for a long time at a monastery site that is close to 900 years old. On the site there is a house from 1841 that was used as a farming house that i have stayed at many, many times, and i have never experienced any ''supernatural'' activity there, even though other people claim they have. I find it hard to imagine a more perfect place for ghosts yet i have never seen or met one there. Leaves me as quite the skeptic.

Here's my ghost story, I was in my room with my cat. My cat was asleep, now I was home alone and I didn't really go downstairs at all so I hadn't used the chairs that day thus all of chairs were still tucked in I guess. I heard something, it was like someone angrily moved one of the chairs, I wouldn't of thought anything of it however... my cat, who was sleeping and on my bed heard the noise too. I go downstairs and one of the chairs had been pulled out as if someone had pulled it out to sit on it. I woke up that morning to find it had been pushed back in.

I've actually have seen a spirit face to face. I woke up in the night, which I never do because I am a super heavy sleeper, I had an increased heartbeat, a cold sweat, and was hyper aware. I looked towards my ceiling and saw a dark being manifest out of the ceiling, the being was a woman with long, wet hair. She lunged towards me and disappeared before my eyes and when I tried to scream nothing came out, I was silent. I immediately got up turned the lights on and went to the bathroom and splashed my face with water to make sure I was awake. Similarly, I've also seen the same being move across from one corner of my room to the other, another night. Same thing happened like in the first night I saw it. I woke up in a strange way, saw the being, and tried to scream and was silent.
