Even though it was harder on my drives (and easier on the trailer tires of whatever outfit I was hauling for), I always carried a little more weight on my drives cuz it made for better control in wet or slick conditions (I dang near jacked one in winter Wyoming, but managed a recovery). Take it or leave it, you're the only one who can do you.
