I have been using the original BRUAMEISTER 50L. Absolutely the BEST! HANDS DOWN! this was the first one if not one of the first to market with single vessel. Absolute high quality. Easiest to run as it pumps from the bottom. NO FITTINGS TO CHANGE POSITION AS YOU BREW. Never have to disconnect here and connect there.... Dough in , Mash, Lift lauder and drain (and sparge if you wish), boil, chill...done. NEVER DISCONNECT, move to another port and re-connect etc. ALL super high-quality SS. What you expect from German engineering. Worth the price All day long!!!

Great job! It was a 20 min video but you did a great job covering a lot of details in that short amount of time. I personally had two Grainfathers (just before the G30 updated version) and moved the Anvil Foundry. The Anvil Foundry and BrewZilla have "low density" burners which reduce the chance of scorching considerably, plus the Anvil's pump (the one you compared) does have an external pump that is modular. I like the BrewZilla but not having to pull the built in pump out to clean it properly and the option of 120/240 with the flip of a switch on the Anvil was awesome. (Also it is double walled so no jacket required.)

@@TroubleBrewing Thank you and the same, I like your format and detail level. (I get flack from some for covering too much detail but I think the majority of us truly appreciate it.) Keep up the great work.

Great comparison video. Lots of research! I've been brewing on the 10 gallon Brewzilla for 9 months and it has been very satisfying.

Great information. I have been looking at the clawhammer. Just need to decide 120 or 240. I liked your review of the 120 and has me thinking of going with the 120 due to convenience. Suggestion for the spreadsheet is add a column for 120/240.

What does dedicated site mean? Could you add a definition at the bottom to explain what each column means and why you decided to include it. Thx
@TroubleBrewing Жыл бұрын
Hello! Dedicated site just means that the manufacturer has a dedicated site to sell the product. Its not a massive deal, just decided to include it in the spreadsheet.

Nice resource, Keg King Guten a worthy addition. Cheeky Peek Nano another. Clean in place appears to be a new criteria.

What do you think of the Braumeister?
@TroubleBrewing2 жыл бұрын
Never personally used it, definitely on the expensive side though. If I had to recommend something on the higher end it would be Clawhammer or the Blichmann gear probably.

The Zyborg meets those requirements. It's not a bad system, but it is a bit expensive for what it is.

I notice in the video while on yt home page shoes a Vevor with pump. I would like to know if these will run a contiguous 72 hours as I want to use to make tinctures, mushroom to be exact and they need at least 72 hours to break down the chitin before processing with alcohol. I also wonder if these will handle infusing oil like olive oil and sunflower oil with herbs. I know the Klairstein will run that long but don't want to spend double what the Vevor is as I need 2 if not 3 machines for my tincture and infused oil work. Thank you.

Hey, I would just recommend reaching out to the manufacturers for that information, I was limited to the amount of knowledge that is easily available to me.

@@TroubleBrewing I have tried and they ended up sending me to tech support who told me to look for local repair shop when I never said I needed repair. Explained I want to buy 3 but some how that turned into needing repair. This email interaction took a total of 8 days.

All depends on your budget the klarstien unit that is similar to the mash n boil is way better, have both and the klarstein got it refurbished Amazon for like 150$ out the door comes with a wort chiller also no malt pipe like the mash n boil and never gives me a E4 code cheap and effective if u want build your own pump attachment.
@TroubleBrewing2 жыл бұрын
I took a look at this and it looks like one of the Klarstein systems would fit the requirements to get on the spreadsheet, would you know what the kettle volume is for liquid?

Great system for producing distillers wash. To make ale and lager with the systems malt would need to contain magical properties.

I think the Spike is overpriced by about 25% of what it should cost compared to the competition for the entry level, but the prices balance out more (still overpriced) when you upgrade to the 220V setup. The BrewTools is double the cost of even the Spike when you add in all the parts they didn't include with the system (Spike is also guilty of this by not including the pump and chiller as default like ClawHammer does) and is more complicated than it needs to be (even Short Circuited Brewers had an issue using it and I see him as an expert on electric brewing), so I don't believe it is a good value even if you have the money. My aim for best value is Clawhammer or High Gravity Brew using the Spike components. But I will likely go with Spike if the Solo goes on sale by 25% for Cyber Monday as that drops it to the competitive price of High Gravity. Otherwise, it's High Gravity, ClawHammer (don't like their choice of using a plate chiller), or I work with someone to build my own version.
