A month ago bought one Magnum for my SL… Now half a week later I switched my SL for a new M… Took the metal rings off from the “crappy” stock Leica strap, and putted them on the Magnum. Now the Magnum does it’s job with the M! Way better!!! I really like the simplicity and smooth and soft feel of it. The orange sides do look really cool and retro.

I never did it until I bought a Leica. Now if I go out, I’m wearing a camera. I’m a small guy (thin and 5’5”), so my perfect length is around 110cm, but not less.

I use my Fujfilm X-E3 the same way except I use a paracord strap. If I want to carry an extra lens I’ll wear a small bag alongside the camera. When I was starting out I had in mind that I needed a really slim camera to carry with me everywhere. But the reality for myself, was that I prefer the ergonomics of being able to hold a slightly larger body with lens. For the most part, I wear my camera everywhere.

I can't believe it, now I need a tutorial on how to take a camera with me. i did it for the last 30 years with out instructions, my dad just gave me a camera and said: go and take pics. Now in this days, u have to learn, how to ware a camera instead or before to use it. 😂😂😂

I agree entirely on how to wear a camera with the strap across the body. Been doing the same for 25 yrs. I have been lured to thicker straps for the heavy DSLRs but it’s bulky and obvious. Since I’ve stated using Fuji X-E1 and X-e4 for street and discrete I’ve been using a simple leather wrist strap which I like - the camera is in the palm of my hand all the time - great if all I’m doing is wandering entirely for photo opportunities in mind but is awkward to use your hands for other things when out and about.

I'm 6' tall (183cm) with medium build and plan on ordering the 125cm. Not sure how tall you are so trying to gauge on where it hit for you. I suspect the 145cm would be too long, but just checking. Thanks

Does the leather or orange bleed onto shirts in the rain or heat (via sweat)? I’d be worried about wearing it with a bright white or light blue shirt. Love the videos. Cheers from Tokyo 🇯🇵 🍷!

Speaking of light.....ridding distracting reflections in your glasses will ensure your videos are interesting. Videography like still photography lacks dimension and will benefit by adding a little motivation. Having a practical in the shot then lighting to accommodate that desk or living room lamp will aid that interest. Controlling the background is also key to making your shots more interesting. Today’s large LED ring lights are wonderful but used on-axis create very flat lighting situations. In your case I might use 2 large led light sources with one off to the side and slightly behind and the other off-axis and using the practical table lamp in the corner for motivation. That will be your main light. At least use 2 large, light diffused sources, slightly off-axis to get rid of those pesky reflections in your glasses.

I was really looking forward to the strap once i placed order for the new mono version. But first, the shipping address was wrong and when finally received the box, it is not a mono strap inside. This is not an acceptable standard for premium products that you offer!! We are ok to pay more for high quality product, but it's not ok for the service. I'm very disappointed...

Not to be disrespectful, but how can one know these $300 straps aren't made by child slaves in India or somewhere else? The textile business is full of this... especially by high-margin products.
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard 2 жыл бұрын
It's interesting that you would connect high-margin products to child labor. I would think it was small-margin products this would be the case for. The philosophy of mine is to produce an optimum product, utilizing every tradition and skill of artisans in the Milan, Verona and Venice area. We go there regularly and it is usually small family businesses with few employees, I don't think I ever saw anybody below 30 years of age. They are normal Italian people and families, and they get paid well for their work because they're good at it. In fact, you cannot get a similar quality from China, India or similar places. They simply don't have the knowhow and patience. And when I visit the artisans, they work on similar products for Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Dior, etc. Not to be disrespectful, but I think you have to update your thinking on what child slaves are, where they are, and what they might do. Maybe sneakers, electronics, masks and such simpler products, and maybe mass production of these, but certainly not high-end luxury products that require skill. So there is the answer. And to find something we might agree on, no matter what else, I think school teachers should get paid well and plenty and have nice buildings to teach in, and well-made books, writing instruments, chairs and tables. That's an area we more likely can influence for now :-)
@CameraCombo
@CameraCombo 2 жыл бұрын
@@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard Well as school teacher myself, I'm happy to know that there are people out there that understand paying their taxes and producing locally allow for better schools. Unfortunately, it would seem what is legal is often evil and what is illegal is sometimes good in some way (not that I believe in illegal activities). You're probably right in saying that many companies in China or India are not interested in such products. However at $300 a strap, all of us should be asking the question: are we empowering evil people who are taking advantage of the child slaves? Also, the sheer amount of evil (especially in textiles) is horrifying (this is well-documented and factual). Did you know that if we stopped 100% of all textile production today, we'd have enough clothing for everyone on the planet for the next 17 years? You say I need to update my thinking and children are making only simple products... and you cite "sneakers and electronics". Please explain how these products are simpler than a camera strap! I will not update my thinking as it would be a fallacy to think just because something is expensive and high quality, it would be made in humane conditions. Excuse me, but just because it's Italy (the same place that lets countless people die in the sea), doesn't mean it's better, higher-quality, or humane. Do you have an ethics statement on your website? Can you guarantee "100% made in Italy"? How were those cows treated before they were killed? All of these are questions I'd expect to be answered clearly and efficiently on your website. I'm not going after you in particular, but the price was shocking for me and I asked myself these questions. I can only hope others do the same.
