Nice and helpful video! We were actually at Bantayan the week before you guys, coming from Malapascua, stayed for 4 nights and had one of them half rain half cloudy, explored the town, mj square, went for a wolk to the south beach which was not very nice in cloudy weather but seen pics when it looks really awesome but not this day. There is much more to explore on the island than those days so we need to come back to this lovely place :) We stayed at Anahaw Seaside Inn wich was really nice and closer to town, mj square and all that but we choose between that place and Carls which looks really nice. We had to go there one day in the evening to check it out also because their restaurant looked really good, had 2 lovely pizzas, recommended. One day was beach day on the island we went to the beach north of the harbor and stayed the day at Anika Island Resort and payed a fee to use their facilities, but you don't have to do that, it's a public beach so.. the beach here was just lovely, and just above Anikas you have the place you go from when Island hopping, good prices on Bantayan compared to El Nido, very good! Virgin Island and Baigad Lagoon was reallly nice and we went there for one day.

Hello Andrew and Jerry so amazing to see that you have the patience. The cons of traveling here in the 🇵🇭 are the long day of journey, too many transfers, add on fees, and limited hotels with good WiFi. The pros are beautiful island and the friendly Filipinos. Your description matches our findings perfectly. The wifi has been a challenge for us as we both work online. We've had a few frustrating moments and many meeting cancellations. . However, beach days and the most welcoming people made it all worth while. We have left now and are in Thailand. We will be back again as soon as we get the chance. ;-)

I loved Bantayan it's one of my favourite places in the Philippines. Try to get a boat to Virgin Island if you get the chance, it's beautiful (make sure the ocean is not too rough).

For comparison...Toledo cIty, Cebu to san Carlos city negros occidental only cost you 210 pesos on a ferry...A ferry which is nicer than that of Hagnaya to Sta. fe boats which cost you 359...what a shame on them

@teafunnyhwang1067 He indeed up paid 60php which is $1.05 for both of them already. It was actually so cheap. Foreigners should considerate the local transport a little bit as they also stay out there for hours in that hot weather

I live on Bantayan- and all of us feel that the ferries are far too expensive, especially compared to other, longer routes in the visayas. It has an impact on tourism, for sure. 🤨
