Bonus tip if your crossing icefields carry and torch and rags you can dry yourself off with a glitch in 10seconds by dropping everything off your body with out moving and then drop the torch last so it stacks up on one pile it will dry instantly

Carry fishing equipment as well and don't bother crossing just server hop till your back on coast again with all your loot 💪 (console players)

Torches work really well at *maintaining* a heat buff rather than giving you one. So warm up by a real fire, then once you have your HB light the torch and be on your way. Your heatbuff will either go down slowly or simply stay put til the torch goes out

The longer you survive the more you adapt to the cold weather...so over time it becomes easier to get a buff with a torch with decent clothes

I think the numbers show people wanted a harder version of the game. This was definitely a step in a good direction. Servers are full. People are having fun even with the cheaters trying there best to troll. You can't carry as much anymore so that's a problem for even them. Brings a balance to the game and I will be the first to eat my words on this one. They got me good. Experimental was not this at all so they really did a good job of hiding the end product

Already seen this in earlier videos but I keep forgetting I can wash hands in the snow so yeah, was worth watching 😂 Here's another tip from a beginner: don't go to the peninsula alone, get the best insulation clothes and some food, 1 sewing kit, 2 canteens full of fuel if you're going for the bunker, and a mandatory spark plug because you want to leave by boat. You don't want to go back over the bridge because it's suicide and you'll find players going towards you on your way back and they won't be alone either

I went alone on foot but that's before I knew the scientist briefcase contained the glowplug u need to enter the bunker honestly didn't know the bunker was down there lol till then but I made it almost all the way back on foot but my mistake was going without chelating tablets

@@justinperry3791 inside the scientist briefcase there's 2 filtering bottles along with the glowplug. You can bury one (the briefcase can be buried) and go with the other, so no need for chelating tablets. Instead of food you can just bring a rope to make a fishing rod. You will need to heat up multiple times anyway so you can cook fish. Don't smoke it, baked stuff only. No salty sticks or anything dried

I have been playing sahkhal almost since it came out and never once got sick. If you played DayZ on official as I have surviving is easy. Now I play sahkhal on hardcore servers because it is to easy.

the community servers i play on PC are more difficult than official servers. I love official but there's a ton of loot on those servers.

Sakhal is honestly so good my favourite thing about dayz is the funny encounters and the survival part of the game. This map brought it back. seeing like 4 players at spawn actually force to help eachother out with fishing and fires creates funny moments aswell as ambushes in high loot areas when you see fires. It’s great so far. Obviously you still have the sad weirdos who camp at spawns turn off their mics with great gear snd just kill freshies but still

Found a jig that I caught some red trout with that when prepared gives fillets and caviar! Wish I knew not to cook the caviar though!

I spent a very long time looking for bones or fishing hook just to remember they can be crafted from sticks as i die of hunger! 😂 great video as always.

I squirreled dozens of sea chests into spawn zones on my server to help out freshies, still when I ask fresh spawns how they are doing they almost always say "I am about to die". One guy died 5 times before I teleported in and set him up. It's really tough.

Greats tips! 👍 The one I found most useful (ie I didn't know) was that you can now craft a fishing hook! Luckily I have hooks and bone hooks but it's good to know just in case! Btw I'm still only on my 2nd spawn, loving surviving in Sakhal ❤😂😅

Keep a long torch on you at all times and you dont lose the buff, if you add fat or gas from a jerrycan it extends the lifetime, I been runnin on a server with the same buff for hours with a jerrycan in my bag and keeping the rags topped up lol 🥶🔥

Since it's hard to carry a Jerry can since they knocked down your ability to carry weight I try to find an extra canteen or something to fill up with Petro. I discovered the same thing day one. While everybody else that I play with get sick I'm good to go.

Wish they added in the ability to make a wooden knife outta bark or a short stick cos sometimes I can’t find any stones to craft a knife and you should be able to craft wooden arrows for the bow

you can craft wooden arrows. combine short sticks to a knife. then combine the improvised bolt to a feather. you don’t need feather but they improve stats

Try to keep an eye out for tools like screwdrivers, pipe wrenches, (regular crescent) wrenches, sledge hammers, and pickaxes. You can get small stones (or large stones that can be broken into small stones) from boulders/rock formations using them.

It's so good, I've only spent like 7 hours on PS5's Sakhal so far. Watch some guys build a base, then log off for the night, soon as they did I went and finished it off, adding my own lock xD I have other dogs, but I won't be getting another one for a lonng time after that. It wasn't the easiest time

@AlwaysStreams Our boy's our first dog , we were going to wait till we retired but the wife was off work with ill health so we got him and it's the best thing we did , brings me to tears when other dogs pass , its the thought of loosing him ! You can't drink from them, you can collect the water but it's not okay to drink. But it seems to heat you much more efficiently than a heatpack

The most ridiculous thing about this game is the missing logic with some items. You can dig in the earth for worms with a flimsy steak knife, but NOT with a screwdriver? That's incredibly illogical and stupid. The same goes for a crowbar. The crowbar can be used to cut up a chicken, get bark from a tree, and even make rags, but it can't be used to dig for worms? Also ridiculously stupid. I love the game, but there are some logic issues these brain-dead devs need to fix.

Also you can fill up a canteen or bottle with snow and it’ll be water. Just make sure you purify the water first as always.

Literally everyone knows that. And you don’t purify it as always, if you use regular purifying tablets you’ll get sick. Has to be chelating tablets.
