De schermmarkt in de tuinbouw vraagt om nieuwe producten die aansluiten op veranderingen van teelttechnieken en die passen binnen het duurzaamheidbeleid van onze eigen organisatie.
Doordat nieuwe vormen van klimaatbeheersing vaak een continue beweging van een scherminstallatie vereisen, neemt slijtage van de trekdraad toe. Daarom heeft Alweco Scherminstallaties een nieuwe spanbus ontwikkeld voor haar trekdraad systemen, waardoor slijtage tot een minimum wordt beperkt. De Ultra Groove spanbus wordt vanaf heden standaard op alle scherminstallaties van Alweco geleverd.
De nieuw ontwikkelde spanbus heeft een spiraalvormige groef waarin de trekdraad geleid wordt bij het uit- en oprollen. Door deze geleiding maakt de draad ook geen zijdelings contact, behoudt te allen tijde zijn oorspronkelijke vorm en blijft altijd op de juiste plek, waardoor de draad nagenoeg niet slijt.
Een bijkomend voordeel van de nieuwe Ultra Groove spanbus is de wijze waarop hij kan worden aangebracht. De spanbus bestaat uit twee delen, zodat hij eenvoudig om een as gemonteerd kan worden. Bij nieuwe installaties hoeft de spanbus niet meer vooraf over de aandrijfas geschoven te worden en bij renovaties is het niet meer noodzakelijk de aandrijfassen los te koppelen, om de spanbussen te vervangen.

Because new types of climate control often require a continuous movement of a screen installation, wear of the pull cable increases. Therefore Alweco Screen installations developed a new cable drum for her pull cable screen systems, thus reducing wear to a minimum. The Ultra Groove cable drum is standard on all Alweco screen installations from now on.
The newly developed cable drum has a helical groove in which the pull wire is fed in and rolled out . Because of this guide the wire makes no lateral contact, retains its original shape and is always in the right place, resulting in virtually no wear.
An additional advantage of the new Ultra Groove cable drum is the manner in which it may be applied. The cable drum consists of two parts, so that it can be easily mounted on an axis. When installing a new screen installation, the cable drums can be mounted on after the screen system is installed and the Ultra Groove cable drum is also easy to replace when necessary.
