February 2013: I’m here to make history. May 2014: Oh you thought I was kidding?! November 2014: Welcome to Wicked (Alyssa’s Version). I’ll be serving for the next decade. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. March 2024: It’s been an honor and a privilege.

The jump that happens in May of 2014 is INSANE. She obviously worked so hard to continue to perfect her vocals which is so impressive, and then to maintain that quality (and/or even get better) for ten years is honestly unbelievable. Icon forever.

The October 22, 2015 DG is completely flawless. She has the orchestra in the palm of her hand on "everyone deserves the chance to fly"

Truly. And even such technical changes. I really noticed her errors and difficulties with breath control and placement in the first phase.

Still reallyyyyy preferring the slightly extended "It's me" as she's going up and not immediately jumping into "so if you care...". (I call it the Jessica Voss effect in my head - I'm pretty certain she's the one that started it) Very noticeable how she didn't do it ever on tour, or during her pre-covid Broadway run (pre-JV) and how it changed post-covid (after-JV).
