I am not a lawyer, but I would recommend considering allowing larger newspapers to cover this fake news and then have your lawyer send them a formal letter disclosing the facts of the case and inviting them to publish a retraction with the same prominence as their original erroneous allegation. You don't even need to threaten legal action against them. The implication can be that they were hasty and got duped into publishing a story from a source they assumed was a real newspaper. You don't need to put them on the defensive, it can even come off as you being on their side and giving them the benefit of the doubt that they weren't intentionally defaming you in various specific ways that this legal letter will cite. This soft approach will pull the fuse on the grenade Alyssa is priming for her court case, and then her lawyer if they are any good will tell her that her case is far weaker as a result as it was likely part of their strategy to gaslight the court that she had been harassed. What you want to avoid is going to court, as it is expensive and unpredictable even if you have the facts on your side you can lose on stupid technicalities or a bad judge. Don't let on that you want to avoid court, but although it will make for a less dramatic end to this story and be worse for content as a result, making Alyssa "go away" prior to the court situation even materialising would be the wisest course of action in my humble opinion.. Obviously, discuss any course of action with your legal counsel and I would also recommend clearing with them the contents of your videos on this so that you don't inadvertently say something that could hurt your case by limiting your strategic options. I actually spent some time not long ago doing some research- primarily on some things in American history. The focus was on events where clearly some mass hysteria or bad propaganda influenced some seriously horrendous actions, things that were absolutely immoral, unjustifiable, and downright absurd.
