Alyssa's Story

Alyssa was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at just 11 years old. When chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant failed to reduce the level of cancer in her body, Alyssa was referred to a clinical trial at GOSH that would use new technology to make CAR T-cell therapy suitable for T-cell leukaemia.
Alyssa was the first person in the world to receive the cells!
