unfortunately I have a hard time figuring things out , I just play along with the chords, and noodle around the best I can. These tracks are great when you don't have anyone to play with. Good practice tool

I can't make sense of the noting diagrams. My biggest challenge is increasing my experience level, and fret board memory. I have always had a hard time getting things, so I never really see the big picture so to speak. What matters most is that I love to play, and with back tracks like these, I don't have to worry about screwing up while playing with another person. another thing I like about them is that, there are not a lot of changes, so you can focus on an isolated area. Sometimes I really thing that I have ADHD. @@mybackingtrack

The problem is remembering where the notes are on the fret board. So far I have only memorized the first 3 frets, and I think it is because that is where the majority of my playing is. When it comes to playing lead, I play all over the board, but I am always in and out of the grid. To be good, you have to be able to see it, before you play it. oh and I love your name..Gibbons..he is one of the best. @@TomGibbons-ll2wy

@@johnclough2561 Yes, memorizing the notes also works. It is quite common for jazz students to study this way. There's a video of Steve Vai where he talks about when he took lessons with Satriani that he had a huge leap forward when he had to memorize all the notes on the guitar. One thing that can help you a lot is studying triads... with them you will be able to assemble triads across the entire fretboard of the guitar and fill in the notes. for example, you learned all the triads of C major so you memorized all the notes C, E, G. so when you improvise you will remember the triads and the notes.

I am a music producer and this is my favorite chord sequence, I feel that it has something special, many songs use it, I am searching all over the internet who was the first artist to use that chord sequence in history and who invented it or where does it come from?
@mybackingtrackАй бұрын
according to artificial intelligence: The oldest recorded songs with the chord sequence Am - F - C - G date back to different historical periods. Let me mention a few of them: Hurrian Songs (1400 BCE): These are the oldest songs ever discovered and were found in the 1950s at the Royal Palace of Ugarit, a Hittite port city that corresponds to part of present-day Syria. There are approximately 36 different songs, all written in cuneiform script with Akkadian notation and inscribed on clay tablets. One of them, called “Nikkal,” contains instructions for a singer to be accompanied by a nine-stringed instrument resembling a lyre or harp. First Delphic Hymn to Apollo (138-128 BCE): The Delphic hymns are two Greek compositions from the Hellenistic period. Both are dedicated to Apollo, the Sun god, and were found on stone fragments near Delphi. The First Hymn uses vocal notation and was written by Athénaios Athenaíou (Athenaeos, son of Athenaeos). The Second Hymn uses musical notation and was composed by the Athenian Limenios, son of Thoinos, in 128 BCE. Both are monophonic, meaning they have a single melodic line without different parts for accompaniments. These ancient songs give us a glimpse of how musical compositions sounded in distant times. It’s incredible to think that the chord sequence you mentioned still resonates through these historical works!

Hey, I am a music therapist in the USA, I have a client with a TBI ( traumatic brain injury) and we have been improvising a bi- lingual song, using this track. It worked- out really well. Would you be okay with him singing this in his church? No monetary gain or performance, just for his congregation. Let me know! Ty! 🎶

On your scale diagram. Why is only B and F highlighted? Should be the Root note A or at least the root of each chord. A F C G. ACE, FAC, CEG, GBD. B only occurs 1 time same with F. I am so lost as to why those are highlighted green.
@mybackingtrack10 ай бұрын
The black dots form the pentatonic scale. The green and black dots form the minor scale. As the caption on the side describes. Thanks for the feed back
