You read some great books! I need to somehow squeeze The Stardust Thief in this month but I have so many other big books to read! I also have The Nature Witches which has been sitting on my shelf since last year. The naked hardback is so pretty on that one!

I feel like your response to reading gild is how I expecty response to reading it will be, and I can't decide if it's worth going through that in order to see if the romance works for me later in the series. Especially bc I can't get a copy at my library or Scribd. Ooooooh! You're reading a chorus of dragons series! Yay!!!! More ppl to gush with! I totally feel you on being nervous heading into the 5th book, that's how I felt too. Side note, I'm so happy I found your channel recently, I love your videos and feel like we have so many books in common 😊

I have read the second one since posting this video and did like it more than Gild so there is that. But it's definitely not going to be a fave series

Stardust Thief was so much fun!! And I'm with you on loving desert settings. I'm hoping to get to Twelve Kings in Sharakhai in August and crossing my fingers I fall into the group of people who enjoy it (since I know it has a lot of mixed reviews). I read Ruin of Kings in May and am a bit on the fence about continuing on. I just wasn't feeling that connected to anyone. But I'm told I should at least give the next one a go.

What's got you on the fence for Ruin of Kings? Was it just the lack of connection to characters or did you have other hold ups as well? I understand why people have said to give the next one a shot because it focuses on a new little group of main characters are you might have a better chance with those, my favorite character is introduced in the second one

@@RamblinReader Yeah, mostly the lack of connection. I'm just not attached to anyone yet or to seeing how the plot plays out. And I was a bit wary of following entirely different characters in book 2 and having to go through set-up again, but you're right that technically that could work out in my favor.

I thought reading it more would make it less weird in my mind but nope. Still just as weird haha
