Am I Evil? Guitar Solo Lesson - Metallica

I just decided about a month ago to learn to play this song. There was only one or two lessons on you tube and they were rhythm only lessons. I picked the rhythm parts up in a week or so of everyday 1 hr practice sessions . I messed around with the solo a bit from following tabs but I was struggling as I'm not that experienced of a player ( 5 years).Was thrilled to see Carl just put out a fresh lesson for this awesome Metallica (Diamond Head ) classic ! I have learned other solos from Carl's videos. Carl is a great teacher and very talented guitarist! Thank You Carl for putting this lesson out! Perfect timing! Now I can attempt to learn the solo as well!!! Love your lessons!!

This was the first song I learned the riffs and fills to and always thought I'd never be able to play.. then like a year later I tried learning it and I can basically play it all now it's just putting everything together timewise. Only part I struggle with is the repeating 10-9-7 12-10-7 licks before the ending so I just do tapping and pullofs for that. You da Man Carl

Carl, a couple of times you say it is a "classic Kirk Hammett type lick" but isn't this the same solo from the original Diamond Head version? If Kirk Hammett did add his own licks in that solo, then I never noticed. Regardless, great video.
