I think it is so smart, the next step would be for people who have hardware units they don't use or need to pay overheads, can join and have their hardware in the app. That way people can now book hardware units for specific people in the app

Can’t stress enough how insanely trippy this is!! To be able to control right from your DAW wherever you are an expensive piece of hardware sitting right in an expensive studio some place else in the world! Can’t imagine how crazy it must feel for the people sitting in the room with these hardware being controlled in real time by a bedroom producer somewhere on this planet😵

Heads up! The trim knob on the HG-2 is NOT the amount of air like it is on the plugin. It’s a left / right tilt! I discovered this because the HG-2 (at the moment) pulled a bit to the right. So Chris suggested I use the trim to pull it left. We used pink noise to see how far pitched right and depending on the settings the trim knob all the way left isn’t enough. He’s going to hopefully get it serviced or have Eric guide him to reset the trim. Hard to tell in headphones. But be sure you know this. The plugin while a-b’ing centers. The air button is simply on or off on the hardware. Cheers! And welcome Canada. I grew up in Vancouver!

Thank you. sorry/ why do you use 16 bit 48 but not 24 44? Was it mastered tracks and you did a final touch or you did premastering? and how do you export results? export realtime or offline?

Most aggregators use 16bit 44

Noticed you didn't decide to use a limiter on the mastering chain, wondering if there was any reason or just because you were demonstrating?

@@NoizeLondon Huh? But your Mastering in Logic series has a whole section on Limiters and is one of the reasons I always use the adaptive limiter on my bus! kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep_CiWyJjp6LqK8 Did something change your mind about limiters? Love your vids too thanks for all the help!

@@liminal12 sure but I'm not showing you how to complete a master with limiters here... I'm showing what it would sound like passing through certain analog signals. The two processes are different.

I have a question about recall, let's say you open a session and you have not booked the time, and how many people can use one piece of gear at the same time?
@NoizeLondon4 жыл бұрын
You can only use the gear if you reserved the time
@jinkubeats4 жыл бұрын
@@NoizeLondon OK so when dealing with recalls, that would be a bit of a disadvantage, right. The gear would have to be free, during the time of recall turnover.

Sharing something I learned the hard way. Access Analog is not suitable for 1:- mixing bus compression 2:- mastering Reasons? 1:- Conversion is not a Mastering Grade. 2:- Lynx Aroura 32 or Antelope Galaxy 64 are mixing grade converters. Best suitable for handling single instrument recording, effect processing. When you convert multinstrument audio through them you will loose clarity, depth, and details. Using SSL G Buss, Neve Buss Compressor or any other mastering hardware for mastering or mix bus effect through cheap multichannel AD-DA is just a waste of time and money. For mastering and mix bus compression InfraSonic and Magic Garden are better choices.

How do you know these aren't just digital plugins on the backend? I'm an IT director and A/V engineer. the only way to do this is to have Realtime motorized actuators connected to all the hardware nobs and buttons.... or hack all these outboard gear and change their schematics, Then they aren't original units anymore and would change their sonic properties. I would say BS unless you see their backend processes!
