Subscribed! My travel kit is just like yours, a camping+survival kit of ordinary household items. Pamir Highway is on my list, I can only imagine what kind of roller coaster you will ride to get there. I didn't see your planned route, so I must say this: Do not go to Iran now. Risk of getting arrested and accused of being a spy is off the charts specially if you have citizenship of their arch enemies. If you want to add a new dimension into your travels then buy a Tecsun PL-365 SSB radio. Listening local and far away radio stations while camping nowhere at the steppe or mountains is a mystic experience! It also enables listening BBC World Service, so if your comms go down including the Garmin you still have a device capable of receiving news broadcasts or listening HAM SSB frequencies. Batteries seems to last forever on that radio. Also please figure out the reason for oil consumption (if it is not the usual amount) here in EU instead of taking it to some Central Asian village - C90 parts may be small and affordable but they are not easily available at the Stans. You will either waste a day or two, maybe week here, or suffer a trip cancelling engine failure over "there", where the sceneries and experiences are the best.

Hey Chloe, as far as camera mounts are concerned your helmet cam mount is doing fine!! My advice would be to train your self to use your head to pan and told when your riding. Ie genital smooth movements. You always need to ride safe of course but having you’re eye view is engaging. Failing that a good clamp and a graphite monopod (it’s light) that will screw onto the clamp. Depending on which you buy, you can extend from 50cm to 120cm, longer is possible too. Amazon is your best bet but delivery address might be a challenge for you. I can recommend specifics if you need.

Great to see you continue to enjoy your journey. I think the nature of the bike dictates the amount you carry.. I looked at your set up and thought "wow" that's half of what I pack....
