Absolutely! Even Kajol putting up that post, even in jest, was irresponsible, in my opinion. A few words about why the heck are we obsessed about skin color should have been added too. Especially since her daughter is and will always be under the lens as well....and as far as content creators go, even the so called 'experts' need to stop caving in to the numbers game and put genuine information out there. Social media has become a circus, and it's sad!

In all this it's Kajol who comes out the sorriest. Here's someone who's image is bold, forthright, lives life on her terms but who clearly had a thing about her own skin tone and did her best to make herself fairer. And equally obviously, made her very young daughter go through it , as well. The transformation is too obvious to miss and the worst example set by someone who may have actually influenced many young girls/ women to believe in themselves, regardless of their skin tone. And it's laughable to attribute it to sunblock. No, you're not overreacting to this issue.

Yes you're overreacting. Kajol in interview mentioned about her skin colour and said sun block helped her. Which might be true but she also has different facials and peel to her disposal. I think the dermat was just sharing her opinion. Also speaking from my experience I used to have medium dark skin tone with darkness around my mouth. I have noticed quite difference in my skin after using skincare i have more even tone and my skin is lighter than before.

Partially agreeing with u here, even my skintone changed a bit , pigmentation got improved, with a sunblock, i agree !! But your and mine case is different honey . kajol here is a celebrity, it is very veryyyy obvious she has had some skin whitening treatments , glutathione injections or may be what not , to change her skin color !! We all are very aware of Bollywood’s obsession with fair skin tone actresses. So saying she did it with sunblock is first of all a very wrong statement and false information , also it is giving a very wrong message to young girls and boys who would take this false information otherwise!! Hence i think rubina is indeed Not over reacting

No definitely not overreacting M having similar skin tone to that of Kajol in her younger days I am using sunscreen regularly since 4-5 yrs And I don’t have to step out much Mostly I sit in my office whole day So not much of sun exposure also N yes m using quiet high end sunscreens also STILL!! My skin tone did not become so light And is not possible , I can guarantee Not that m craving for lighter skin tone but telling the fact So yes this dermatologist is definitely giving false hopes in young ladies .

​@@RubinaSkincare You said in your video why a dermat is talking about kajol skin- it's because she discussed in an interview which is available to the public. I think was right in saying Sunblock do help in skin pigmentation. She is not aware of kajol cosmetic neither do we so we cannot say for sure. She used injection or peels. She just shared her personal opinion. Also the most of insecurity comes from people who are closest to you. Not by some random person on the Internet.

​@@s.r189 yes! Agree.. people around.. not from internet.. sunblock can help great in pigmentation, age spots, freckles.. even my skin tone has lightened... i.e. It has restored my original colour...
