The Domain is back with another Halo Infinite Mega Construx video!
Halo has partnered with Mattel to produce Mega Bloks / Mega Construx toys for over 15 years. This has spanned the release of Halo Wars, Halo Reach and Halo 4-Infinite. With this, they have produced thousands of toys and tens of thousands of pieces.
Mega Brands was formed back in 1967 out of Montreal, Canada. In 2009, they acquired the licence for Halo, originally branded it as "Halo Wars: the Authentic Collectors Series". Soon after, this was dropped to just "Halo Mega Bloks", before its third rebrand into "Halo Mega Construx", a more adult take on the licence. This lasted up until roughly 2021, with a final rebrand into simply "Halo Mega". What comes next for the brand? Only time will tell...
Halo Infinite was delayed from 2020 to 2021. In that time and after it has seen a multitude of issues and delays, but at the heart of this lies a true return to form and a gorgeous campaign. Halo Infinite Season 1 and 2 had a long extended life but Season 3 returned to the original promise of 3 month long seasons. With the return of Forge, Halo Infinite seemed to be in a largely completed form. Season 4 and 5 hit hard, with excellent releases of Firefight KOTH, Infection and dozens of quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, the seasonal format would come to an end with the Spirit of Fire update, dropping the formula all together to be replaced by operations. It's hard to say what the future holds for Halo, but you better believe I'll be along for the ride.

I’m not giving up but I’m certainly thinking about slowing down, it’s very difficult to uphold consistency with animation, mainly because of burn out, I could probably put an animation out every week but I just can’t get the motivation to do that, stop motion is so tedious and intensive and at least from what I’ve experienced, it does not pay back financially. The sad reality of KZbin, also doesn’t help that they take 45% of a creators earnings, there should be some sort of threshold system so that smaller creators get more from their work.

I totally agree about that threshold actually! More like how taxes get more dramatic the more you earn. Also, don’t aim for consistency with stop motion, aim for doing the projects you enjoy and improving your craft

It is really cool to witness a creator evolve throughout the years from the day I watched the haul video with your brother years back to now. I stopped collecting Mega just before the Halo 4 line started releasing (I was about 11/12 at the time?) and I've only started collecting again now. Its astounding that you've kept this channel going and still have the very same passion you had all that time ago. Not only that, you have cultivated such a strongly knit community around a product which is admittedly, well past its peak in mainstream popularity. I cannot thank you enough Simon for keeping some of my fondest childhood memories alive & re-igniting an old love I had for Mega and the Halo franchise. I've even started collecting again , although it is hard to find what you like here in the UK.

Simon you have influenced me a lot, before The Domain when you used to be TheSSMotion, I remember staying up watching your live streams back before I had loads of school work lol. I thought this was gonna be bad news, really had me for a sec! One thing I gotta say is keep named/ high rank figures outta battle packs. I think the elite general in the scorpion set makes sense and is awesome, cuz if u army build like me 2-3-5 tanks gives u however many generals not a CO for every battlepack which is supposed to just be cannon fodder. ALSO we NEED a MEDIC figure (besides the ODST hive buster)

Halo Infinite and the paramount show have near killed my interest in the franchise as well. The last few months I've taken to disassembling all of my collection which I started when the first warthog came out, washing the pieces and putting them back together so they look like new. Lost/broke a few pieces along the way especially with the early sets.

Here’s some video ideas: Videos that discuss poles that ask the community how to address problems and concepts for figures and sets Facilitate more stop motion contests but this time have the film concepts smaller and every 3-4 months with the prize pool smaller in scale or non existent to promote pure love of the craft Make a video to push the Halo community to push Microsoft/343 to make a Mega Halo game like Lego Star Wars but better Make a video discussing what you’d like to see Mega improve upon with Halo Make a video discussing the best way to clean sets and dioramas with personal testimony on how you tackle the never ending problem lol Make a video after a community pole discussing what you’d like to see in the next game. Make a video pushing Mega to bring back community voting for upcoming figure and set ideas Make a video after a community pole discussing what you most like about Halo and what are your favorite games, soundtracks, art style, etc etc.

It’s mega’s own fault that halo has gone downhill with its sets, continuous terrible distribution and scalpers buying out everything because of that. I will no longer buy any mega products after this year I’d rather save my money than to go through the pain of not being able to get a specific set. But if halo mega does come back and all of mega’s other awesome series like the call of duty sets, black series, destiny and many more I’ll definitely return to it. Domain your good man I’m glad you are not giving up and maybe one day Mega will be all over the place again.
