At his point just play your hands straight up because every time you veer off course, it ends badly. Don’t bluff unless your line makes complete sense and don’t over call. Make no live reads at the table. Just play like a bad regular and be a nit.

Call me crazy but maybe just basic strategy when playing in the biggest poker tournaments, maybe, just maybe you shouldn't be calling an early pre-flop raise with K7 suited on the button. So here's what I'm seeing Ryan and it's the same reason why we all love you and why you're probably never going to be a world class tournament player unless you completely change everything. You're gambling. It's like you're literally playing poker tournaments TO gamble, to make risky plays, to bluff in spots you shouldn't be bluffing, etc etc.. You're NEVER going to win consistently in tournaments like that. This is from a guy who cashed in 36 percent of every tournament he played about 10 years ago. I should have fuckin quit my job and done it full time but I didn't. This is my one regret in life. Anyhow, that's my take on it. Here do this. Play every hand and street as if your life depended on it. Pretend that if you bust out of a tournament, that you're going to die. Treat it like life and death like I used to and see what happens. Hell, see if you can even do it.

@@goalgoalgoal669 So first off, I won a WPT event and then 2 months later I I final tabled a WSOP event and then 2 weeks later I got 48th in another WSOP event, and that was about of 2300 players. So here's the bitch of it, every time I play poker now, my blood pressure goes through the roof and I can barely keep my eyes open sometimes. I still play poker of course but I basically can't play for over 5 hours and WSOP events are at least twice that. Believe me, I wish I was 35 again with infinite stamina but I literally can't. It's really aggrevating. BUT there's a reason for everything man. It just wasn't my path apparently.

Some of the calls beggar belief. It has to be an addiction to what ever endorphins his brain is mainlining every time his tournament life rests on a miracle runout. He'd call off all in on the bubble with a K high off, just for the thrill of it.
