Coming from someone who has worked with money for more years than you've probably been alive lol YES I'm old lol anyway PLEASE get into the habit now before you have an issue repeating back to the customer in a very matter of fact voice POLITE but FIRM "Ok your total is $14 out of TWENTY and your change is Six dollars". Due to many experiences I even started taking it a bit further and started taking all twenty dollar bills and folding them in 1/2 and putting them UNDER the cash drawer. INSIDE the cash BOX but under the removable drawer. This movement made me 100% confident in the event I was busy or distracted so if someone questioned their form of payment I didn't have any hesitation telling them no i'm sorry you didn't pay with a twenty I know this because I fold and put all twenties under my drawer and I've not lifted my drawer. I can tell you horror stories of scammers for hours!! Would a tide pen maybe work to spot clean your unicorn?!?!? I was seconds away from starting my Father's Day whatnot livestream and I knocked over my damn sweet tea and stained my white table runner..... UGH so I have THAT to deal with! So glad the stream was a success and we had several sales, kinda lessened the frustration of the mishap lol

Be the drama. I was once positioned next to the portapottys at an event, and was very quick to ask for a different spot because the smell is AWFUL and makes me nauseous. Be the drama so you don't have to suffer (physically and financially)

I vend at a local farmer's market. Every week we get our assigned spot. There is no bad spot in the market because it's a horseshoe shape. I had the mushroom guy try to usurp me from my spot several times. I complained about the assigned spots not being enforced. They confirmed it was getting to be a problem and it seems like they've corrected the problem.

The empanada run had me laughing, my co workers probably think I’m crazy! If you don’t mind me asking, like the square for card payments? I love your beermugs :) in regards to the octos. I love the bubble stitch, the other reminds me more of a flower :) could be neat as such :) The sewer spot should be left open so noone gets that spot at all. Its not healthy to be in a spot like that at all.

I have been a cashier in the past. I always leave the cash paid on top of tray, then say, ok you gave me a twenty, plainly visible as it’s on top of tray, you change is $6. So total purchase was $14, so 1$ is 15, and $5 makes it twenty.

PROUD OF YOU FOR ADVOCATING FOR YOURSELF 🖤 people dont respect fiber crafters. You and any vendor, deserve to be comfortable. That spot shouldnt exist or be a porta potty/trash can spot. Also that loaf cat is a bit more complicated and the ears are way nicer than the HDC kind most patterns have. My kittens are the most popular but ive been wondering if i should try those guys. I love the ears lol. Did it use less yarn?

Thank you so much🥹💕 I would say loaf cat used a bit less yarn than my usual aqcrochet cat pattern that I use but it’s definitely a bit more complicated especially if you do all the color changes and it comes out kinda small with sweet snuggles lite. I haven’t made any other loaf cats yet so I might give those a try!

I always make the loaf cat pattern by anniecarrawayart and they sell SO well! I also found I pattern for a smaller one and also make that. I do a deal if you buy a mom and kitten lol! I always use Bernet Blanket Yarn. I also love the bobble tentacles for the octopus. Where is the pattern for the octos? I would love to make one! If you are enjoying doing these markets I say you do more weekly ones because I love watching them! ❤❤❤
