I know this is 2ys old, but I'm just now finding y'alls reaction to it. Guys, getting emotional over this is perfectly acceptable. Y'all remember the same country I do, and I cry every time I hear this song. My heart breaks when I look around and see the country that my 16 year old son is growing up in and the country that will most likely be left. IMO Aaron has the greatest voice of his generation. Besides his recent journey into country music, Aaron fronts the heavy metal rock band Staind. No one was bigger then Staind in the 90's. On Stainds last album he sang a song called Something To Remind You. His acoustic version of Something To Remind You - Live From Mohegan Sun has over 40,000,000 KZbin views. It's the greatest live song I've ever heard. Ill predict thousands will have this version played at their funerals. I think this would be a great song for you to play here. Most of us Americans love our country...most of the dipshit "protestors" who do more rioting than changing even love this country. I have never understood the love it or leave it mentality. I'm glad my parents didn't talk politics around us kids. I remember my Dad and Step Mom once arguing over Regan and Carter. But in all honesty them not talking about it let me come to my own conclusion and set my own path. I heard this song right after it was released. I bawled like a baby because this song hit so hard on so many fronts. I've shared it to a ton of my friends and they had similar reactions. Sadly at 50 years old I feel that my generation is the last full group of people who truly get this song 100% due to the time we grew up in. Each generation following there's less and less people who have true pride in America. Today's young people have no idea how different the world was just a short 50 years ago.

When I first started hearing STAIND on the radio I was into Merle Haggard, Outkast with good shaggin’ Beach Music. Very eclectic blend but I didn’t care much for them because it seemed forced. A few yrs later Aaron played an acoustic with Fred Durst at, I believe was “98”” Warped Tour and I was able to feel the song, voice sounded honest and emotionally conveying! Ever since he’s changed back to himself “personal opinion “. He doesn’t sound like he’s working; he sounds like he’s sharing himself with us instead of doing what you’re told! Aaron came out of a heavy rock band called Staind and they were great as well! The 80 million voters that weren't counted can relate to this song and what Trump has to say about this song since it relates to him!
