Nobody changes overnight. There’s always a thought process or realisation which has been entertained, before the change occurs. The person may not state it to others but it’s always present in the persons mind. That’s exactly how the change occurs. Andy did go back to being de glamorised because it didn’t come naturally to her nor did she incorporate it, as part of her, this is unlike Emily who had deep interest in fashion.

One of the reasons I like this movie is that it not only exposed the hollowness of the fashion world but also gave some character development to Anne's character who was hard-core "I'm not like other girls". Honestly, I thought her boyfriend also required some of it but meh...

I don't understand why people like classist characters and hate her bf. And where did Anne even get money to buy those clothes or does the company hands out high end clothes for free to its staffs. Her clothes are over the top. Anne didn't like the job and yet she wasn't maintaining healthy personal lifestyle. I have so much to say,
@missyyy-
@missyyy- 5 ай бұрын
@@autumn-ju8yq yes, not liking your job and still giving it 110% is definitely a lost art. I thought the movie made it pretty clear that she was borrowing items from the sample closet until she was able to buy things herself. Putting your professional life before your personal life is a boss move, especially in your 20’s. It’s the sign of someone who wants to accomplish more than being their partner’s arm decor.
@ea6102
@ea6102 5 ай бұрын
@@missyyy-especially a high powered job like that. It's fine if you don't want to give 110% at your local Wendy's or something, though it's still good to have a strong work ethic, but totally understandable to give 110% working for Miranda priestly as her assistant even if you don't enjoy it. That's a pretty high level job for someone in their 20's, give it your all and you'll accomplish so much as you get older. But nowadays people give little effort for jobs they don't like
@mist8814
@mist8814 5 ай бұрын
@@missyyy- I don't think he was unreasonable actually. She completely changed what she was about as a person, buying into the bs she didn't like about the company originally. I think he missed his original gf with her original personality and values, and her work was affecting their relationship. If a guy I was dating switched up like this, even though it's great for their career, I'd feel the same way regarding the relationship. It's not the same person you were dating, they've changed, and so you're no longer compatible. The least she could have done is confront it head on and admit that she wasn't able to spend the time with him that he wanted and she doesn't think she can meet that need without sacrificing this opportunity, which she thinks is valuable and doesn't want to pass up since it will open so many doors for her career. Sometimes people grow in different directions and being emotionally healthy and mature is trying to understand the other perspective, and recognising when you are unable to meet someone's needs and when they would be better off with someone better suited to what they are looking for

I went through a similar transformation but in different circumstances. There was a guy who I really fancied but he never even bothered to look in my direction. For a number of different reasons I then decided to reinvent myself anyway. I worked on my confidence issues and my weight loss transformation. It took me months to reinvent myself. When people later saw me, I was unrecognisable. How I carried myself became different too. I recently saw the same guy who kept staring at me on the train. But now, I don't even care about him anymore as I'm just enjoying my life a lot more.

Seeing this clip i got in an instant why Gisele is such a "supermodel", better than seeing a hundred magazine covers... They all are beautiful girl, but she's something else, what a face, eyes, lips, arms...even in a tshirt and glasses she stands out. Actually even more so. And i guess her laid back attitude and natural acknowledgement of Anne's change is a reflection in fiction of both her real life brazilian relaxed vibe and of...that nonchalance easy coming from being such a natural beauty...no fear of any comparison😅

were the clothes really good? I thought they looked terrible and mismatched.
