Am so done with this boss... [Darkest Dungeon 2]

i got stuck at this boss in my first time too, its normal. If you want a tip i will leave it below. Avoid focusing on damage over time, its always better to prolong the fight and not get everyone hit with his main attack. The keyword is avoid not exclude.

@@TodouIota Only if you want to, flagellant is good even if you are not dealing damage over time XD. Try to think on the team like: who's doing damage? How? who is taking the damage? who is stress healing? who is healing? and who is doing someone else's job? You can leave the flagellant on the team and put him to tank the damage, but then man at arms can also tank the damage, you can put him to focus on heal, but then occultist is also healing your team, you can focus on stress heal but then jester is in the area. What you need is someone to hit the back lung, try finding someone to do this and think who will you take out for him. Depending on who you briging in, you could take out anyone. I think teambuilding is the best part os this game, so that's why im being vague about it. Anyway, just have fun. Try stuff.

Thanks for the advice! Managed to defeat him today but lost everyone except the Jester haha. Gonna experiment with some other team setups.

You really really need to change your flagelent skills. More more and undying are his two best skills. Because flagelent is really a tank/healer, his dmg isn't great. He is incredibly broken though and can basically solo many fights but you need to basically press more more every second turn because its thats incredibly overpowerd

​​​@@TodouIotaespecially upgraded, more, more makes him taunt and gives him special tokens when he takes damage. Unupgraded each token gives 10% health, so up to 30% if you have all 3 tokens on him. Upgraded is 15%, times 3 is a whopping 45% of his health, and several skills damage him including undying which will proc an additional token, allowing him to heal most of his health with no need for him to be below a certain amount of health. If you pair him with an alchemist plague doctor they can inflict a lot of blight on the enemy, and necrosis isn't a bad skill for damage if you go with this. It can bring many enemies to a point where the blight will just kill them and heals flagellant too. Another thing with plague doctor, she can remove the taunt from flagellant to heal him with indiscriminate science, which doesn't remove the tokens you get from More, More!
