Sounds like one of those things my mixed race African grandmother would say while cooking and chatting with my mum and aunts... I can hear her saying it in Portuguese already. I wish I had listen to her more back then before I started believing that my fellow white Europeans were just as colour blind as I was. I wish I had gotten more of her wisdom regarding what life in this world really is, it would have saved me most if not all of the heartache growing up.

je suis fan d'amadou et mariam et aussi fan d'artistes comme Sigur Ros ou bjork. I may not understand the lyrics but I am attracted by the melodies and the energy within the song. You dont need to understand the lyrics to like a song. Even if you understand the lyrics sometimes, the meaning of the song may be different, especially if the singer is using metaphors (very common). I am not american btw
